What is Emerald Tor Farm?
What does the name mean?
Tor means hill or rocky peak
The Emerald Guild is the guiding entity
Emerald is also the green of nature
Beliefs
“Each person is free to be”
Emerald Tor Farm is about ‘The being’. It is a place where children and adults learn to BE through DOing; through interacting with the Land and the Farm community; where each person is free to do anything they wish, as long as it is for the higher good and does not harm anyone or anything; where uniqueness is celebrated and major works are handled through collaboration; where ideas are conveyed through storytelling, metaphor or by painting a picture of the outcome.
Goals
To establish a self-supporting farm park by restoring the Land to original state, as a legacy in perpetuity for the benefit of mankind.
1. KIN
To create a kin domain.
Reconnect with nature and nature kingdoms.
Repair land.
Plant trees to restore the forest to create rain.
To rebuild soil and soil organisms.
To grow food.
To build our house.
To become self-efficient (in food and energy).
2. COMMUNITY
Build a community of like hearted people with whom to grow the vision.
To explore the freedom to be and do without limit.
To have abundance without pollution in a totally sustainable way.
To share that abundance with all.
3. SPIRITUALITY /CREATOR
To grow spiritually
To develop and awaken our latent abilities
To assist in the advancement of humankind
To live a life from the heart in love of all
To BE and DO as eternal essence in-bodied.
4. CHILDREN
To bring children into a world which allows them to learn by interacting with nature in play, so they can reach their full potential.
5. FUN
To have fun with music, dance, plays, art and food.
6. MODEL LIVING
To make this community a working example of living in harmony with nature and develop a new paradigm for society.
7. ENERGY
To explore and develop free energy systems for the benefit of all and implement them on the farm.
8. FOOD
To build the farm to abundance through permaculture practices.
To learn how to work with the consciousness of the land in order to grow perfect food and to share that food with the community.
To create new methods of natural gardening as a means of encouraging people to grow their own food and support their families.
To provide the training and encouragement until they are competent and can take their garden home and continue it there.
9. FERMENTS, PERSERVES, PACKING, MARKETS
Explore and develop the art of ferments and produce products for exchange at market fairs.
To create jams, pickles and preserves for use and market.

Each person will “work” ONLY because they love what it is that they do. In this way each will be able to follow his passion and excel beyond limit.
17. COMMUNITY, PEOPLE
Explore and develop understandings for designing and running a community without rules, where each person is celebrated and honored for his/her differences and skill sets. LISTEN, RESPECT, HONOUR
18. Treat children as an equal part of the community so that they are included in everything as with any other member and honor their differences and uniqueness as children.
No one is compelled to do anything.
19. Develop a communication and connection protocol/space where we LISTEN to each other’s ideas, dreams, and complaints – for that is a message for YOU.
20. So as in (18,19) LISTEN to the imagination and stories of the children because they are closer to the source and pure.
21. Ask for and encourage their ideas and dreams because out of that comes development, growth and solutions. (this applies to everyone).

How to operate without science in the modern world
You are the expert in all things
You have all solutions to all your problems and the answers to all your questions.
How to find that YOU
Questioning everything you know
- All formal education
- all axioms (everybody knows this)
- all societal norms
what to replace them with.

How to think about thinking
Live day by day
Replacing your habits
Going from fixed to variable
The state of now.
Creating your world and the role of your “higher self”
Village Hubs
Kin Domains will cluster into “villages’.
Villages will be a place for sharing unique resources of the people. The Domains will contain everything that people need to survive. The village will be totally self sufficient for the community that it supports (it doesn’t have to do everything – just what is needed).
The primary unit is the “family” who have basic needs
Shelter
Sunshine Food and nutrient cycle
Clean Water Air
Clothing
Love
Power
Wash
Health
Share
Entertainment
Recreation
Creation
Extension
Interaction
The individual is involved in activity creating, building, producing.
He builds houses, makes clothes, writes books, produces steel or stuff, makes furniture, teaches children.
1. Everything is shared around the village.
2. Surplus gets offered to other villages.
3. The village may get known for producing some item and specialize in that particular thing. [eg Making cars.]
Village Network
The villages are networked and connected by high speed communication channels of some sort.
ZERO POLLUTION
TOTAL SUSTANABILITY
FOOD & POPULATION
THERE IS NO “GOVERNMENT”
THERE IS NO “MONEY” so there is NO NEED FOR CORRUPTION OR CRIME.
Domains and villages can evolve (like bee swarms)
Each “village” will be defined by an area that is traversable by foot (maybe 5 – 10km radius) and in that space will be:
Living spaces (kin domains)
Food
Industry
Entertainment
Cultural etc
The village gets the surplus and offers it to other villages
The basic unit is the kin domain space for a single family unit of adults and children, house, food, power and animals.
You can cluster the units however you like for an extended family (BUT each domain must be self sufficient in the necessities of life so it can be passed on).
The basic unit gives you your place of quiet so there are no mutually dependent relationships outside of the basic unit. Each chooses the configuration of his basic unit. It can have any number of people but must be self contained.
It does not stop you from going “next-door” to “granny & pop” and working with them in ‘their’ own sustainable domain but you can’t extend your domain to include theirs.
SUCCESSION PLANNING
All facilities will be local to the village.
Villages are NOT hierarchical.
“Councils” will be created as required to support a community project. They will be one layer and ONLY contain members of each village.
Since each village is self-contained, it can never be impacted by any other village.
Note the basic paradigm is everything that YOU do must be for the good of the whole. If you are going to tar the road – then you tar the whole road.
-Not just your part of it unless the other party does not want you to do their portion too.
There are NO committees – someone will take that responsibility for the task (or they wont) because that’s their passion. If no one wants to do it, then it doesn’t get done – end of story). You can only ask and convince someone to undertake a task by convincing them (by story) of your vision. No one is compelled against his or her wish to do anything!!!
Each member of the community works for the community for, say, 3 days/month.
